July is a great time to get out and about and see everything London has to offer, and July 2017 looks set to be the best yet. Whatever your interests, there is guaranteed to be an event, a show, an exhibition or a competition taking place in the city for you to enjoy. The good thing about visiting this month is of course the weather – the sun will hopefully be shining and the temperatures heating up, making exploring that little bit more fun.

To help you make the most of your trip, we’ve rounded up a whole host of our favourite upcoming events, all of which are taking place in and around our Piccadilly neighbourhood this month:

Wimbledon Championships

When: 3rd July – 16th July

Arguably the highlight of London’s summer sporting calendar, Wimbledon is the most important tennis tournament in the world. Whether you are a tennis enthusiast or simply eager to join in with the buzzing sports-mad atmosphere, grabbing tickets for Wimbledon is a great way of getting in on the action. You’ll need to queue for tickets – don’t be tempted by ticket touts, just arrive early and join the line to be in with a chance of entry.

Regent Street Summer Streets

When: Throughout July

Every Sunday in July, the shopping zone from Oxford Circus to Piccadilly Circus is pedestrianised for festivities carrying a different theme each week, including a Garden Party themed evening. An ideal addition to the travel plans of visitors to the Piccadilly Hotel London.

Pride Parade

When: 8th July

The annual London Pride Parade this July is set to be as colourful and joyful as ever, drawing enthusiastic crowds of revellers to witness hundreds of floats march through the heart of London to celebrate love in all its forms! The Parade’s main acts haven’t been announced yet, but it is likely to be as packed an event as any previous year, and takes place in and around Trafalgar Square.

Citadel Festival

When: 16th July

Mile End’s Citadel Festival provides a great combination of new and emerging artists teamed with plenty of fun-filled entertainment throughout the day. With food and booze on tap, there’s enough artsy excitement to keep everyone entertained!
